Birmingham Turkey Giveaway

City Councilor John Hilliard - District 9 Birmingham team started early this morning at Tuggle Elementary School with turkey giveaway #1! It warmed my heart to see so many of our young leaders from Youth Talk United serving the community! With volunteers by my side, we gave away 100 turkeys!

At turkey giveaway #2, I joined the Homewood Alphas chapter of Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, where we gave away an additional 350 turkeys! I was honored to join my brothers in giving back to our community.

Thanks to Marino's Market and Marino's Market For donating over 400+ turkeys to families in need.

That is what it is all about, District 9, working together! Let's continue to care for one another and be there for one another when someone is in need. COVID-19 has changed many things, but it won't change the love, care, and service we share for our fellow man.
